Negative self talk is starting to ruin my life

I recently had the epiphany, life is a mindset. Life is what you make it. I’m really glad I realized this because I’ve made every situation in my life negative. Work, therapy, seeing friends, school. I’m never not complaining or seeing the negative in things. After I realized “hey, no moment in my life is EVER gonna be good if I keep up this mindset”, I had better days. Yes, sometimes we may not have the energy to be positive or happy, but I have to take the blame and credit as to why my life has felt so miserable. I never tried to see the positives. Anyway, the point of this post is my therapist made me list good things about myself and things that make me a good person. It was really hard surprisingly. I never realized just how much I discredit myself. I have come a long way from where I was and I never acknowledge it … but oh my gosh I never realized how much I actually talk down on myself. I can not take this negativity eating at my brain. I want to change. I’m always saying I’m ugly, I’m not good enough, taking my insecurities out on my bf, I feel like I don’t deserve gifts, I apologize when I feel I’ve spoken too much. Tonight I made my bf feel bad because I was joking about this celebrity he used to like and I was pushing my insecurity onto him and making bad jokes. He left upset.. and I just feel like it is ruining my life. Yes, I had this epiphany, but I feel like I can not break the cycle and it has all come crashing down on me and I feel sick to my stomach because I just want to love myself
