https://ift.tt/ZncIz9DHello Everyone! Glad to be in this group! I’ve been hating myself going on 27 years now at least in way where I’m critical of myself. I seek validation that I’m loved through relationships and made my life’s goal and career built on making my parents proud and as well as my family. So I worked myself to the point where depression took over.
These are all obviously major problems that need resolution and I guess that’s why I’m here? I’ve tried the talk to yourself in the mirror thing and it just doesn’t feel like it’s me it feels forced and uncomfortable. Sure as I do it more it would become more natural. It would still feel like I’m forcing my self to change which doesn’t seem like it’ll last?
So I’m wondering what does everyone here do? Maybe unorthodox methods of self love? Maybe something common but I haven’t thought about it? I’ve been on this journey for about a week or two now since my last relationship ended terrible through infidelity on her part. So I now ignore and don’t talk to this person because I think part of the self love journey is not accepting things like that in your life. But anyways yes self love how do I start what can I do? Does the battle feel life long or is it a mind set change that takes time. Thank you all!
