In two years, I will living a better life, or else... what's the point?
I've started looksmaxxing. There will be work outs and diets. There will be surgeries and re-brands! I'm giving myself two years to improve everything I realistically can about my appearance, because I'm approaching forty and I can't stand the thought of spending another twenty years feeling sexually invisible. I would rather be died, than continue living as an ugly man!
And before someone says that ugly men get girlfriends all the time, that's not what I'm talking about. I don't want to be someone's sensible choice. I want to be someone's exciting choice. I want to experience a woman finding me physically attractive, flirting with me, pursuing me, and making it unmistakably clear that she wants me.
There's a strange contradiction in how we treat men. A man who admits he wants women to chase him is considered needy or unmasculine. A handsome man who actually gets chased is celebrated as the ultimate masculine ideal. Weird.
Apparently, wanting to be desirable is pathetic, but being desirable is an achievement.
I have a job, an apartment, friends, interests, and plans for retirement. I'm tired of hearing that I should appreciate those things as though they somehow replace the experience of being sexually wanted.
I know nobody owes me attraction. No, question! But I am doing this! Not because I want to become a better husband. Not because I'm looking for someone to appreciate my personality. I want to experience being physically desired. I want women I find beautiful to approach me, flirt with me, and make it obvious that they find me attractive. Men are always supposed to be the hunters. The lions chasing the gazelles. Well, I want to be the gazelle.
I'm afraid of spending two years improving myself and still feeling exactly as unwanted as I do today. And I'm tired of pretending that possibility doesn't hurt.
Anyway, see you in two years and two months... I hope.
