Reminders: What would you remind yourself of during tough times?

For me:

No one fucks with you anymore because you’ve made it incredibly clear that it will not be tolerated

When someone who isn’t familiar with you as you’ve come to be attempts to mistreat you, you don’t flinch when it comes to cutting them off and sticking up for yourself

Time, pressure, it doesn’t break you. You just build endurance.

You kicked dependencies you’ve had for almost a decade to the curb like it was nothing

You do not compromise your standards or boundaries to appease others

You tell the truth, you stick up for others, you don’t do what’s easy if it’s wrong.

You aren’t afraid to disagree with a crowd

You actively challenge your own biases and are mindful of others

You live and breathe the philosophy of “strength without kindness is just brutality”

You push yourself to overcome challenges that logically, wouldn’t even be considered achievable based on your circumstances

You progress so rapidly, you push yourself so hard, make it look so easy, that others forget that you do so against all odds, time and time again

You give yourself grace to be human and patience to let the suffering pass

You’ve survived so much horror already, how could anything stop you now?

You do the work of an army, in complete and utter solitude, in deafening silence.

You don’t give up

You try again

You have developed such an incomprehensible inner strength that others struggle to grasp the magnitude of what you’ve endured

You have everything to gain

You always push yourself to stay grateful for what you have

You will see brighter days, because you always show up for them

You care, you love, you embrace life and nature

You can, you will overcome, you give yourself no other options

You know your worth and don’t wait for others to see what you see.
