how do I see the good in myself?
falsefor context I was bullied for years in preschool because I was overweight, + my parents scolding me to lose weight and my family's sense of humour being based on teasing each other didn't help since they kept joking about it and I didn't see any difference between the two. so I hated myself for most of my life and was basically depressed until a few years ago when I met some friends and started to feel like maybe I'm not the human trash can I thought I was.
fastforward to now when while things improved tremendously, if you ask me about a quality of mine, I genuinly can't give one. maybe I can say "I was" or "I could have been" but never "I am". like I was asking myself what if someone asked what I could bring to the table in any situation, and I couldn't find any answer since I didn't know what I could bring to my own table if that makes sense. I don't want to go the wrong way about this and become arrogant but I don't want to keep feeling this way about myself. if anyone has advice I would really appreciate it
