When change feels overwhelming

You’re learning to respect and love yourself. This means things you used to do feel uncomfortable and things you’re doing to change feel uncomfortable.

It means changes, but it means making the changes from a place of looking out for yourself rather than hurting yourself. That’s the difference, it’s determining what pathway is there to take care of you, to respect you, to love you.

Be silly, be free, be wild, be authentic. You really are doing it now. You’re trying new things, you’re feeling your way. Everything is coming up good, coming up as it was always meant to.

Remember why you choose to be alone, remember why it’s uncomfortable. Understand why old habits now feel wrong. Embrace that change. Sit in the discomfort, get to know it, understand it and accept that you are moving on and you are changing.

We accept what we cannot change and what is changing, we cannot control either of these. We can only choose what is right for us and watch the results. We learn from what we have done and what has been done to us, we grow, we thrive in the new potential. We live to see another day, and another. We savour the happiness, we uphold the good people in our lives, we honour them.

We honour time with ourselves, we honour time with others. We appreciate and love life for what it is and where it’s at exactly now in this very moment. We enjoy the imperfect process because that is what life is. Life itself is the journey, not the final destination.

We accept where we are, we don’t fight with ourselves to be better, we don’t punish ourselves to reach an impossible perfection.

We look at ourselves and we say I am enough, I am beautiful, I am worthy, I am enough just how I am.
