Note to self about Exams Late May/June

I burned myself out badly last month. I was using ineffective methods, essentially relearning stuff as I had very little memory of Y12 matierial (fuck depression). I was making these massive overwhelming mind maps so I thought - put it into flashcards, make summary sheets, stop bullshitting and get people to help me. And y'know? I have time to do well. I have time to do all that as long as i'm careful. You can do a lot in half hour. I'm no academic weapon but I can still get a B or C. And thats enough :). I still get very nervous but i'm learning to control it. I wont know everything, and thats still good.

I've stopped looking at toxic positivity "how to get an A A*" videos and looking at my peers. Most of them are fucking snobs anyway

I have time to do well

I have time to review and make revision material

I have time to go over said material

I have time to take breaks and keep my mental health up.

I bought myself new pyjamas and flashcards - I can sleep and revise better.

I'm behind in History. I will admit I still have a ways to go and a lot of gaps in my knowledge. But thats OK. I'll learn it (fingers crossed some won't be on the exam anyway hehe)

I haven't cut in 8 weeks and I've put weight back on and started asking for help. Me and my pastoral teacher get on well and i'm going back to councelling. I've dropped extracurriculars that were interfering more than i'd like to admit and I feel so, so, so much happier now.

I'm starting to recognise me again!
